The Coalition
Who We Are
The BC Watershed Security Coalition is a non-partisan, diverse province-wide coalition of 50+7 organizations, including farmers, Indigenous champions, local governments, and non-profits, representing more than 285,000 British Columbians.
We have come together because healthy watersheds are essential to human health, community security, economic prosperity, and reconciliation. Across every region of BC, the Coalition works to ensure that watersheds are not just managed—they are valued, and strengthened for the long term.
Through collaboration, advocacy, and unified action, the Coalition drives lasting systems change: uniting diverse voices, influencing policy, and creating the conditions for durable governance, sustainable watershed investments, and resilient communities.
As a non-Indigenous led coalition, we do not speak for Indigenous Peoples. Indigenous leadership, knowledge, and priorities guide and inform the Coalition’s work.
